The Hindenburg Bridge (Hindenburgbrucke)

There is a favorite bike trail that Ellie and I like to take from Wiesbaden to Rudesheim. Sometimes we will just wander around Mainz, along the Rhine and find interesting things to discover. On one of these trips, this discovery was the Hindenburgbrucke. Brucke is German for bridge. (I don't know how to create an umlaut with my American keyboard). However, if you go there looking for a bridge, you will not find one. That's right, its gone, destroyed during World War II, like so many other bridges during the war.
