In Austria Again

We have been to Austria before and for me personally, this was another short trip, due to conflicting work schedules. With that being said, we always try to make the most of our time there while we visit my wife's family and this time was no different. The area we go back to and stay with relatives is near Windischgarsten. From some of our relatives' homes, you can see both the Kleiner Pyrghas and the Grosse Pyrghas.

As you will see from the photos, the area is quite beautiful and always reminds me of the movie, 'The Sound of Music'. The area certainly has an interesting history dating back thousands of years. A major road of the Roman Empire even traversed this area.

The hike and climb were amazing, but there was more in store for us, as the next day, we got a wagon ride (by tractor) to Eggl-Alm, where we ate lunch and met some family members for the first time.
